What I got from it all was that it is extremely enjoyable and great hands on experience if you are willing to put all you have into it and do the work, not only during the placement but also the process leading up to it. No matter if you are applying for a college or some experience in the work and business side of ceramics you must present yourself well.
From all the presentations I've made a concise checklist for applying places:
- Concise email explaining your aim/request
- CV
- Photos of recent work
- In the email display your interest or reasons for choosing this specific area
And so while booking flights to Malta for a wedding in August, I discovered that the Art & Design College is only a stones throw away from the Airport. I booked 2 days earlier than everyone else arriving so I could check out the art scene. I just emailed them today to see what they're suggested Arts & Crafts places/fairs would be and If they're college would be open that time of year for a quick tour!

Sending an email is all and well but.... it's only know that I'm thinking.... Oh my gawwwd... What if they actually do get back to me.... what an oppertunity to see how a completely different culture opperates in they're Art College!
It's all quite exciting.......... now for the waiting game I suppose!
